There are numerous rain boot factories in Asia, yet very few among them are capable of manufacturing high-end welly boots, as chemical rationality of rubber formula, smoothness of rubber sheet by mixing and calendering process, handicraft skills of the workers on production line, flow speed of shaping line and vulcanization temperature and pressure all have impacts on rubber boot quality.

Training Experience

What affects duarability of rubber boots

The durability of rubber boots determines their long-term quality, and the durability depends on the content of natural rubber out of rubber boot formula. Generally, for low-price wellies, rubber content ranges from 40% to 45%, some even reduce to below 40%. While high-end rubber boots have the content between 50% and 60%. These premium boots have a more elastic and flexible feel, without problem on cracking, making them suitable for consumers to wear for a long time. We have been producing high-end rubber boots all year round.

How to Reduce Weight of Rubber Boots

Due to waterproof and dustproof features, rubber boots also come with some inherent drawback: weight. 

Generally, weight of a knee-cut winter wellington is around 1000g, which is really too heavy for consumers who walk outdoors for a long time. Thus we hereby offer two solutions:

(1) We use EVA foam outsole cemented to the rubber upper to replace the molded rubber vulcanized outsoles. A single ultra-light foam outsole can be at least 150g lighter than a rubber outsole on same size. If you don't want to lose anti-slip property, we can also glue a thin rubber sheet to the bottom surface of EVA outsole to gain gripping.

(2) We have developed an ultra-lightweight rubber compound applicable to the whole boot. By means of chemical methods, we reduce the density of the rubber to achieve the purpose of weight reduction. For the same style of welly boot, the one produced in ultra-lightweight formula can be at least 200g lighter than those made with ordinary formula!
